Product description and field of application:
GRAFITO Deactivator is a concrete surface deactivator for the production of exposed aggregate concrete in positive (top surface) application as well as in negative (face-down) application and is based on our many years of experience in the production of exposed aggregate concrete surfaces.
GRAFITO Deactivator is suitable for the production of exposed aggregate concrete in all exposure depths, from micro-exposure to the coarsest exposed aggregate concrete surface. GRAFITO Deactivator functions reliably even under the most difficult application circumstances. GRAFITO Deactivator is available in 11 different exposure-depth-types in a solvent-based and alternatively in a water-based product-line. GRAFITO Deactivator can be used for all concrete surfaces with high requirements in every respect, above all for complicated elements with horizontal or vertical, smooth, structured or angular moulds, commonly known as architectural concrete, where other products often fail. E.g. precast wallpanels, small decorative concrete units, but also for cast-in-place applications such as driveways, walkways, etc.

Difference between negative (face down) and positive (top surface) applications!
GRAFITO-Deactivator is sprayed onto the fresh concrete surface during the positive application and after the concrete has set it is washed off,  resp. brushed off. During the negative application the GRAFITO Deactivator should be painted directly onto the surface of the mould or formliner and the concrete surface is then washed or brushed after demoulding.
