GRAFITO ACID STAIN Colours

GRAFITO ACID STAIN should be used on bare mineral substrates only. Different concrete types, textures, colours, and age will affect finished look and tone.

Colour variations from one section of concrete slab to the next are expected and usually desired. Colours may vary greatly due to differences in concrete mix design (type of PORTLAND CEMENT and aggregates), age, finishing practices, porosity and texture.

Never expect GRAFITO ACID STAIN to be uniform or have even tones as there will be different reactions from slab to slab. Even on the same job there can be different colour patterns.

The following seven colours show what can be achieved on concrete with grey PORTLAND CEMENT.

Factors that mainly affect the outcome are:
1. Type of PORTLAND CEMENT and amount in the concrete.
2. Aggregates involved.
3. Concrete finishing methods.
4. Concrete age.
5. Admixtures used in the concrete.

Always conduct on site sampling to help assess the colour is likely to be achieved.

Sealing
A GRAFITO SEAL sealer is always recommended to further enhance the durability. Remember that sealers will also increase the colour intensity, making them one or two shades darker and richer. The sealer protects the surface during everyday use as a sacrificing coat.
